How often do I need eyeliner touch ups?2020-12-30T00:38:19-05:00

Touch up appointments are optional.  We suggest that if you want to maintain your eyeliner so that it always looks its best, plan on scheduling a touch up once every few years.

What should I know about long term care for permanent eyeliner?2020-12-30T00:38:19-05:00
  • The color will lighten over time. Fading greatly depends on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure, pigment color used, broken capillaries, iron deficiency.
  • Wear protective sunglasses & a good hat whenever in the sun.
  • Must wear assigned tanning bed goggles over eyes while tanning, for the protection of your eyes and your eyeliner.
  • If you are planning an MRI or other medical procedure, please inform the technician that you have had an iron-oxide cosmetic tattoo.
  • If you are planning to have laser treatments, tell your laser specialist to avoid the pigmented area.  Laser may cause pigment to turn black.
What factors will affect Permanent Makeup Eyeliner?2020-12-30T00:38:19-05:00
Bleeding during the procedure: Excessive bleeding during the tattooing procedure will reduce the amount of pigment absorption.  Alcohol Aspirin, caffeine and certain medications act as blood-thinners and should avoided 48 hours prior to your appointment.
Sun exposure: The sun will extremely soften the look of your tattoo, and may also change the color appearance of the pigment.  A physical sunscreen should be used (once healed) to prolong your enhancement.
Whenever possible, we encourage our clients to wear sunglasses, hats to protect their beautiful eyeliner (and skin too)!
Lifestyle: smokers, “sun worshippers”, or anyone with skin that is in a state of distress may have less desirable results.
It is highly recommended that you avoid SUN and TANNING BED exposure for 30 days BEFORE and AFTER your procedure.  If you show up for your appointment with a new tan or a sunburn, you will need to reschedule and will forfeit half your total procedure cost.  As your skin exfoliates from a sunburn, it will unfortunately take the pigment with it.  It is a clients responsibility to read the policies page.  Thank you for understanding.
How long does Permanent Eyeliner last?2020-12-30T00:38:19-05:00

Permanent Eyeliner is a cosmetic tattoo. The pigment will fade over time and we recommend Touch-Up to keep them looking their best. There is no guarantee in how long it lasts as each individual has very different skin and lifestyle.  Our skin cell turnover is different in each person.  We all Metabolize ink differently.

How long is the healing process for permanent eyeliner?2020-12-30T00:38:19-05:00

It is normal to experience minimal swelling after having eyeliner.  Please follow the aftercare instructions for best healing results.   8-12 weeks before skin heals.

If I am using an eyelash enhancing serum, similar to Lash Boost or Latisse. Can I still have my permanent eyeliner done?2020-12-30T00:38:19-05:00

Not unless you have stopped using it at least 3 months prior to your permanent eyeliner procedure.  The reason is that those types of serums are very harsh on the eyelids and make your lids quite fragile for cosmetic tattooing.  As a result, your eyelids will bleed and bruise.  After your eyeliner procedure is completed, you should wait 2-4 weeks to start your serum usage again.

How will I look immediately after the eyeliner procedure?2020-12-30T00:38:19-05:00

There will be swelling.  The swelling starts going down right away and in most people, it is back to normal by the following day.  A small percentage of people may have mild bruising.

What should I do before and after the eyeliner procedure?2020-12-30T00:38:19-05:00

Please review our detailed “Pre & Post care!   DO NOT rub or pick the healing area as the color will peel off prematurely, and avoid extreme heat, sweating, and contaminated bodies of water (such as saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, pools, lakes, and places with hot humidity, etc.).  Do not wear any eye makeup while healing.  Not following the aftercare instructions will unfortunately effect your healed results.

Does it permanent eyeliner hurt?2020-12-30T00:38:19-05:00
The eyeliner or lash line procedure is more psychologically scary to most clients than anything else.  After a few mins people’s nerves settle down.  The discomfort is relative as everyone has a different level of sensitivity.  A pre-numbing anesthetic is applied to the eyelids for numbing prior and during the procedure.  Every effort is made to ensure you remain comfortable & relaxed  for the duration of the procedure.
Pre-care instructions are designed and MUST BE STRICTLY FOLLOWED to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the service.  Excessive bleeding and sensitivity during the procedure will dilute and expel the pigment color and lead to poor results.  It is best not to have this service performed during your cycle, as pain tolerance may be lower.
Please do not wear any Eye makeup before your procedure!

It is normal to experience minimal swelling and tenderness immediately following your procedure. This usually subsides within a few hours. The first week following your treatment, the pigment will appear much darker than how it will appear once it has healed. Around the 1st or 2nd week post procedure, the skin naturally exfoliates and sheds. During weeks 4-8 when the skin completes healing, you will see the pigment become more visible. An Enhancement Session visit approximately 8-12 weeks after your first initial appointment is necessary in order to achieve that richness of color, achieve symmetry, and density in the shape.
